Meet the Simplify Resourcing Team

Matt Short


Having been in key leadership roles for over 17 years with a Global Bank Matt has a wealth of knowledge in Financial Services across many functions including Contact Centres, Operations, Projects and HR.  Matt has recruited for multiple positions and knows first-hand the operational impact of bad hires but also the true value of giving the right people the right opportunities and how that can lift morale, performance and ultimately customer satisfaction.

With his extensive experience in managing and leading teams Matt’s success has been down to effective engagement, building trusted relationships and a passion for working with people.  Matt understands company culture and recognises talented people and uses his expertise to connect them to achieve mutual success.

On a more personal note Matt is married with two children, is tall (6’5”) despite his name, loves most sport, enjoys a challenge and loves to socialise.

Giang Hughes


Driven by a love of meeting people and building meaningful relationships, Giang has built a career on helping others to develop. With a diverse background across multiple sectors she has successfully delivered skills programmes within adult learning and further education and developed professionals and leaders within Financial Services (insurance, wealth, retail and commercial banking).

Motivated by helping people reach their potential through the right placement she understands a career path doesn’t always follow a straight forward route, whether by accident or design. Giang is committed to finding great people and matching talent with organisations that share the same ethos.

When not at work she plays badminton (badly), runs short distances (slowly) and fuels her passion for music and dancing by going to gigs and forcing her eclectic musical playlists onto her children.
